Playrite began marble production in what is now Ellenboro, WV in 1945 and ran through December 1947.
Playrite used the same brand machinery as some other WV swirl companies, as well as having the same sources for materials. This, along with business dealings with other swirl companies and more notably, the liquidation of their remaining inventory packaged in Jackson brand mesh bags, has left us with an extremely difficult task of identifying them from those other brands. We are unable to provide verifiable specimen photos at this time.
