Christensen Agate

The Christensen Agate Company Originated in Payne, Ohio in 1925. However, the only known examples were later produced in Cambridge, Ohio, 1927 -1933.

They are another of the early marble manufactures that initially made transitional, hand gathered style. Christensen Agate Co. marbles are one of the most highly sought after brands for not only rarity, but also for the sharp, vivid colors and patterns. They produced Slag types, Patch & Ribbon and Swirl types, some designated as Flames for obvious reasons. They are also known for the early frit application in the Guinea type, so named for the colorful Guinea birds often seen on the company grounds.
